COMPETITIVE BIDDING

For the elaboration of the FF&E specifications, Alabaska inc. has already researched and determined the best sources for the procurement of goods at the best price in relation to quality standards expected.

Purchasing is often directly from the manufacturer (ie carpet, casegoods, et…). Additional volume discounts are expected as often as possible. The designer submits samples of all custom items for review.

Following agreement on pricing and review of all samples prototypes or alternates, a final order in the form of a P.O is issued.

The selection of suppliers and manufacturers is based on the following conditions:

  • Quality of the service offered
  • Previous experience
  • Quality assurance of their products
  • Pricing
  • Assurance of timely delivery

These conditions will be analyzed before a contract is awarded. One of a kind items or specialty product will not be subjected to the tendering of competitive bid process. Contract will be awarded and sealed with the issuing of a P.O following negotiation of best price.
